As an advocate I will use my extensive experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to assist families in recognizing the needs of their child in a classroom setting. I will also use my experience in writing behavior plans and school based ABA programs , as well as training school staff in these programs to assist in developing a solid IEP for each child. By working with the school and coming together the programs will come together more smoothly. Experience: Substitute Aid for the San Diego City Schools ABA tutor for 11 years. Hands on experience and day to day implementation in ABA methodologies. Including Discrete Trial, Brain Gym, Sensory Integration, Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Floortime, Behavior Modification, TEACCH, PECS, Social Stories, Shadow Aid, and life skills Experience with children with Autism, Rhett’s Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Seizure Disorders, Tourette's Syndrome, Developmental disabilities, Speech impairment, Psychological Disorders. Trained in Handwriting Without Tears, Touch Math, feeding groups, OT brushing, LIPs Speech and Occupational Therapy exposure.
